Here at CODE FIVE, a brand of LAT Apparel, we are reducing our carbon footprint through the use of motion sensor automated lighting throughout the warehouses and offices reducing electrical usage by up to 25%. Our warehouses feature a paperless pick/pack system diverting tons of waste from local landfills. In addition, we have recycling programs for our cardboard and office supplies.

Our largest sewing factory in India has installed a new electric grid. This facility is now run 100% on wind power and also provides excess electricity to the community supporting sustainability throughout the community.

Our sewing facility in Mexico works to recycle all possible products including, but not limited to, cardboard, plastic, office recyclables, metal and wood and has diverted over 5,400 tons of waste from local landfills. In addition, this facility has an active electrical monitoring program with the goals of reducing kWh/unit up to 20%.

Our dye house in Guatemala has recently expanded and upgraded their equipment to newer models. Newer dyeing equipment will reduce chemical usage by at least 40% and water usage at least 50% in addition to energy savings of up to 35 kWh per dye lot.

Sustainability is an ongoing mindset at LAT Apparel. As technologies change we will continue to innovate ways to continue our practice of sustainable manufacturing.
